I went to watch fireflies at Kuala Selangor last Saturday and they were magnificent. Actually, this is my second time there but I am still amazed by the beauty of nature. And the sky on that night was clear as well. I could see Orion, Ursa Major and Minor and one part of Scorpio. Truly beautiful, the nature. Our guide/sampan man proved to be educated in fireflies and most importantly, he is very updated to the latest research that was done on them. Most recently, UKM came out with a finding that the fireflies can only survive for one week. Initially, he thought they would last for one month! Anyway, that new information has him appreciate them more now.
